The Selfless God
The other day as I was sitting before the Lord, I felt like I heard him say these words, "Richard, I am the Most Selfless Being." This caught me completely off guard because I have never thought of God as being selfless.
Stop asking, "How much does it cost?"
I realize that Jesus taught us to count the cost before following Him, And I never want to find myself contradicting Jesus, but I am convinced that too often we miss out on what God has for us because we are looking at the wrong end of the equation.
The Best Seat in the House!
Isn’t it amazing that most people want to sit in the Best Seat in the house, but few are willing to pay the price to sit there.
The Best seat in the house always cost the most! For example, if you go to a sporting event, the seats next to the sidelines of the field are extremely expensive while the seats in the nosebleed section are very cheap. Most are unwilling, or even unable, to pay the price to sit in a seat that is on the sidelines. But God has designed a system where anybody that truly desires to sit in the best seat can if they are willing to pay the price!
We have had more prayer meetings and prophetic declaration concerning 2 Chron. 7: 14 then you could imagine with little to show for it. Yes, we might be in much worse condition as a nation if it had not been for these pockets of intercessions that stand in the gap and vicariously repent for our nation. But I think it is time for us to reevaluate what we are doing in the American Church because I am convinced that God intended for the Church to experience much more lasting fruit than what we are presently experiencing.
Sea of Glass
Rev 4:6 Also before the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.
I have read and heard this description of Heaven on numerous occasions through the years but never realized what God may have been trying to communicate to us through this phrase.
